AVG Free downloaded over 1 million times on www.html.it during just 1 month

AVG Technologies, developer of the AVG range of Internet security software, announced today that its AVG Free basic security product has crossed the threshold of one million downloads through www.html.it, Italy's leading software download site, between June 14th and July 14th 2008. AVG Free was downloaded by more than one million users in that period, the highest number ever achieved by any software product in Italy in a one month period (see http://download.html.it) The total number of AVG Free downloads through html.it between the launch of the English-language AVG Free 8.0 in April 2008 and today is about 3.300.000 downloads.
